Selkirk Canoe Kayak Centre - Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada
The Selkirk Canoe Kayak Centre (SCKC) was founded over 30 years ago by our historic paddler, MILT PEDWELL, The City of Selkirk's Citizen of the Year (2002).
Throughout the years, Milt shared his love for paddling by promoting access to the great outdoors within the community. His encouragement and passion was felt by everyone that met or paddled with him.
SCKC HISTORY
Milt first formed the club in 1991 out of the Colville Marina in East Selkirk. In 1997 Forbes Stewart, of the City of Selkirk, invited the club to move to Selkirk Park, where we are located today.
SCKC is within the gates of the Selkirk Park, just past the skateboard park. We are nestled in down the dyke road, where the calm waters are the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors and paddle the calm waters in Selkirk.
We have a safe waterway, away from motor boat traffic, it's a perfect place to learn to paddle and connect with nature!
Enjoy the calm waters in a canoe, kayak or on a paddleboard. Choose from our wide selection of equipment, suitable for all skill levels.
Selkirk Canoe Kayak Club is located inside Selkirk Park, past the Skate Park on the Dyke Walking Trail... you can drive there, you don't have to walk!
